Designing Coastal Habitat Enhancements for Community and Habitat Resilience

This award will identify, prioritize, and develop preliminary designs for ecological restoration and resilience projects that will improve nesting habitat and foraging conditions for threatened and endangered birds such as the roseate tern, terrestrial species, and federally endangered fish such as Atlantic and shortnose sturgeon. The project will build on planning work completed through the Resilient New Jersey program, including a regional flood risk assessment, scenario planning, and resilience actions.
